Whats a 2 day trial job?
This is the message h… A friend of mine got a call that he is invited for a sort of job trial where he has to work and show his skills. They were not very clear and he can't remember the company name.
This is the message he recieved-

Trial Period (2 Days) 4-5 December. Timings: 10:00-19:00 Location: Mall Of The Emirates Contact Person: XYZ (Intentionally removed) Contact Number: 123 Once you come out from the MOE metro station call Mr. XYZ he will guide you.
Has anyone here given such an interview? What exactly to expect and should he go or not?
ngl that whole "call when you come out of the metro" thing is how pyramid scheme recruiters operate, they pull u aside somewhere random and pressure u into buying their crap. id tell him to just skip it
yeah that's super sketchy tbh. no company name, no email, just a random guy's number at a mall? id tell him to at least ask for the company name and check if they have a proper office or website before going. could be a shady sales gig where they lock u in for 2 days without pay or something
honestly this sounds sketchy af. 2 day trial without even a proper company name or email, just a random contact person at MOE? thats a red flag.
i'd tell your friend to ask for the company name first before going. if they cant give a straight answer, prob best to skip it. real companies doing trials usually send a formal offer letter or at least an email with details.
Dubai/Sharjah Road Scam?
damn u basically did a free taxi run to rak. thing is they usually target cars with a single guy driving & look for dubai plates so u look like u got somewhere to be. best move is roll ur window down like two inches, say u already called the cops for them & keep moving, dont even unlock the door
yeah that's a known one on e311 & the sharjah ring road, usually they wave you down near the adnoc or before the rta cameras claiming wallet got lifted. classic play is they ask for a lift to the next emirate then bail once you slow down, sometimes a second guy on a bike is tracking you. next time just call 999 or drop them at the nearest police point, don't let anyone in your car off the highway ngl
The RAK route is the tell. No one genuinely stranded on the ring road needs to get all the way to Ras Al Khaimah, that's a 90 minute drive. These guys work in pairs and the second car picks them up after they hop out, usually somewhere past the Al Sajaa junction or near the ADNOC on E311. If it happens again, tell them you'll drive them to the nearest police station and watch how fast the story changes.
