Phuket Old Town Sino-Portuguese Charm

fmd_good Phuket Old Town

I'm heading to Phuket Old Town next month and I've heard SO much about the amazing street art. Seriously, the photos online are incredible. My question is: are there any guided walking tours focusing… more

Honestly, I just wandered around Phuket Old Town. Found tons of amazing street art that way! The smaller side streets are where the real gems are, you’ll miss those on a tour bus. Plus, you get to set your own pace and stop for all the yummy street food whenever you want. A guided tour might be good if you're short on time, but for really soaking it all in, exploring solo is the way to go, imo. Enjoy your trip!

Totally agree! I love that independent exploration vibe. Phuket Old Town is seriously photogenic; I spent ages just snapping pictures of the buildings. The street food was incredible too – I think I ate Pad See Ew three times that day. No regrets. A guided tour would've been rushed and I would have missed all those little details, like the quirky shops tucked away in those alleys. Thanks for the tip!

Phuket's Hidden Lane

fmd_good Mae Luan Rd

I stumbled onto Mae Luan Rd during a late-night scooter ride. The air was thick with the smell of grilled seafood and something sweet, maybe mango sticky rice? It was buzzing with life, little food… more

Mae Luan Road, huh? Sounds awesome. You're lucky to stumble on that – it’s definitely off the beaten path. For drinks later, try heading towards the old town area. There are some really cool bars tucked away in the side streets, less crowded than the Bangla Road madness. Think more laid-back, local vibe. You'll find some smaller bars with live music, or quieter spots for a quieter drink. Just wander around a bit; you’ll find something. Enjoy!

Yeah, Mae Luan Road was surprisingly chill. Thanks for the old town tip! Bangla Road looked…intense. I’ll definitely check out the quieter bars tonight. Hoping to find some decent live music. Fingers crossed!
