Haha, a secret speakeasy? Now that's a thought! I like your theory about it being a service entrance, that makes the most sense. But the intrigue! It’s just so… discreet. I might just email the museum and ask; see what they say. Worst case scenario, I get a polite "no comment," best case, I find out about a hidden stash of kueh lapis. Worth a shot, I reckon.
