Try heading further down Phun Phon Road, past the main cluster of shops. It gets quieter the deeper you go. I remember a tiny stall tucked away near a little shrine – almost missed it. They served something called Khao Pad Sapparot (Pineapple Fried Rice), it was incredible and way cheaper than the places closer to the main drag. No English menu, so point and smile, it's worth the adventure. You won't regret it!

Yeah, Phuket internet can be... a rollercoaster. I've stayed in places with amazing views but wifi that would make a snail look speedy. Sounds like you got unlucky with Wandee. Next time, a hotspot is a solid backup plan, or maybe even looking at hotels/condos specifically advertising good wifi. It's a total bummer when your Insta feed suffers! At least the pool and staff made up for it somewhat.
