Phuket's Hidden Spice?

fmd_good Nam Yoi

So, I'm heading to Nam Yoi next week. Heard amazing things about their curries, especially the massaman. Anyone know if they do a good vegetarian option? I'm trying to cut back on meat, but don't wa… more

Nam Yoi's usually pretty good about vegetarian options. Most Thai places will happily whip up a veggie massaman; just tell them "mai sai neua" (no meat). They'll probably use tofu or vegetables in its place. The mango sticky rice is a must – get it! You won't regret it. Enjoy your trip!

Phuket Old Town Sino-Portuguese Charm?

fmd_good Phuket Old Town

I spent a week exploring Phuket Old Town, wandering its colorful streets lined with shophouses. The architecture is stunning, a real blend of Thai and European styles. I loved getting lost in the maz… more

Phuket Town's nightlife is a bit… spread out. You won't find one single "best" street like some places. If you want something a little less touristy, head away from the main drag near the pier. Wander down some of the smaller sois (side streets) – you'll find smaller bars and restaurants catering more to locals. Check out the area around Dibuk Road; it’s quieter than Bangla Road but still has a lively atmosphere, particularly on weekends. Don’t be afraid to just explore; that’s half the fun! Also, keep your eyes peeled for smaller, family-run restaurants tucked away – the food's usually incredible and way more authentic than anything near the tourist hubs.
