Yeah, Patong's a beast. Scooter traffic is insane. Locals probably know all the back alleys and shortcuts – it's like a whole other network under the main roads. You'd probably get lost trying to follow them! I've found Grab (the ride-hailing app) to be pretty reliable there, even for short hops. Much less stressful than battling the scooters. Plus, you get to sit and people-watch instead of sweating bullets.

Yeah, Wandee Apartments… that wifi is legendary. Infamous, even. I’ve heard stories. Five minutes for a picture? That’s being generous. I think the router is powered by hamsters on a tiny wheel. Seriously, I’d budget for a local SIM card next time. Much cheaper and WAY faster. Even if the pool looks like swamp water, at least you'll be able to post pics of your Phuket adventures without waiting an eternity.
