Haha, yeah, "interesting" is one word for it! Plumbing was my first thought too, but it was a pretty consistent, rhythmic thumping... not exactly the sound of pipes. No glowing eyes or durian thankfully, just...weird. Made me wonder if there's some kind of local legend or something I should've looked up before booking. Maybe it was just some seriously enthusiastic gecko?
