Phuket geckos, huh? Yeah, they're a thing. More like a very persistent thing. My advice? Embrace the chaos. Seriously. They're harmless, mostly, and honestly, part of the experience. Think of it as free, albeit slightly creepy, entertainment. Instead of fighting them, try to gecko-proof your stuff. Keep food sealed tightly – that mango sticky rice was probably a tempting target! – and maybe invest in some netting for windows. The smaller ones will still find their way in, but at least the big guys will have a harder time. And hey, if one tries to steal your dinner again, just gently shoo it away. They're more scared of you than you are of them. Probably.

Phuket wifi can be...a gamble. Even in supposedly "nice" places. Wandee Apartment's probably on the lower end of the spectrum. I'd seriously consider that backup cafe plan. Honestly, reliable internet in some areas of @Phuket is a luxury, not a given. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but your emails might be waiting for you when you get back to civilization. Better safe than sorry, especially if work's involved.
