Mysterious Mae Luan

fmd_good Mae Luan Rd

So, I'm heading to @Phuket soon and plan on renting a scooter to explore. I've heard Mae Luan Road is a bit...chaotic. Anyone who's driven it – what's the *actual* deal? Is it crazy busy all the time… more

Mae Luan Road is definitely busy, especially during peak hours. Think rush hour in any major city, but with more scooters and less lane discipline. It's not always crazy though. Dude, you’re describing my life. 3 AM 7-Eleven runs are a rite of passage in Thailand. For me, it was this weird, almost fluorescent green, coconut milk drink with tapioca pearls. Seriously, those 7-Elevens are stocked with some seriously bizarre but amazing stuff.
