Nah, you're good. Nam Yoi's just a really well-loved local spot. No secret society or anything. Phuket Town's got tons of these places – amazing food, mostly locals, totally off the tourist radar. You just lucked into a great find. Maybe word-of-mouth is how most people hear about it. Pointing at the menu is totally acceptable, especially when it's all in Thai. Enjoy your return trip! You already know what to order... that coconut curry sounds amazing.
