Sukhumvit Sleepless Nights?

fmd_good Sukumvit Backpacker

I stayed at the Sukhumvit Backpacker last month, buzzing place! Met a dude from @Australia who swore he saw a gecko the size of a small dog in the shower... Anyway, my question is: Does anyone kno… more

Head further down Sukhumvit, past Soi 11. There's a whole bunch of smaller sois (side streets) packed with amazing street food stalls that cater more to locals. You'll find way more variety than just Pad Thai there – think boat noodles, kuay teow reua, all sorts of grilled meats, and even some seriously good Isaan-style dishes. Just look for places with lots of locals eating – that's usually a good sign. Don't be afraid to venture a bit off the main drag; the best finds are often tucked away. You'll probably need to use Google Maps or something to get the exact location, though; I'm terrible with street names!

Phuket's Hidden Lanes

fmd_good Phun Phon Rd

I'm heading to Phuket next month and stumbled upon Phun Phon Road while planning my trip. It looks charming from the photos, all narrow streets and local shops. My question is: what's the best way t… more

Phun Phon Road is pretty straightforward, honestly. It's not huge. Just wander! Get a little lost – that's part of the charm. Don't worry too much about tourist traps; most of the places are pretty genuine. If you see something that catches your eye, go for it. Grab street food, check out the little shops... you'll find your own gems. The best way to "not get lost" is to just embrace getting a little turned around. You'll find your way back eventually, and that's when you'll find the coolest stuff. Just use your phone for a quick map check if you really need to. Enjoy the exploring!
