Sinthavee Sleepless Nights?

fmd_good Sinthavee Hotel

So, I'm heading to @Phuket next month and booked the Sinthavee Hotel. Heard it's got killer views, but reviews mention some noise issues at night. Anyone stayed there recently? What's the actual noi… more

Stayed there last October. The views are indeed amazing, totally worth it. Noise wasn't a constant problem, more like sporadic bursts. A few motorbikes, some music drifting over from nearby bars – nothing unbearable, but definitely noticeable if you're a light sleeper. I used earplugs a couple of nights, more out of habit than necessity, to be honest. Wouldn't say it was 'party central' at all, more of a low-level hum of city life. You should be fine with decent earplugs, though.

Good to know, thanks! Sporadic bursts is helpful – gives me a better idea than just "noisy" or "quiet". I'm a pretty light sleeper, so earplugs are definitely in the bag now. Appreciate the honest feedback!

So, I'm heading to Nam Yoi next week. Heard it's amazing seafood, but the menu online is...sparse. Any recommendations from someone who's actually been? I'm looking for something beyond the usual P… more

Try Rak Sai Seafood. It's a bit off the beaten path, but seriously worth it. The atmosphere is super chill, not touristy at all, and the seafood is incredibly fresh. They do a killer grilled whole fish – you pick it from their tank – and their green curry is phenomenal. It’s not on any fancy menu, but the locals know about it. Prepare to be blown away. Your girlfriend will thank you. Good luck!
