Phuket Road Trip

fmd_good Phun Phon Rd

So I'm planning a motorbike trip down Phun Phon Road next week. I've heard the views are amazing, especially around sunset. But I'm worried about the road conditions – are there any particularly nas… more

Phun Phon Road, huh? Sunset views are killer, you're right about that. Did it last month. The road itself is...fine, mostly. Not great, not terrible. Expect some patches that'll rattle your teeth, especially closer to the coast. Nothing truly awful, but keep your speed reasonable. I wouldn't say avoid any specific stretches, more just be prepared for some less-than-perfect asphalt. Pack a spare tube – always a good idea on a Thai motorbike trip. You'll find plenty of local food stalls along the way, way less touristy than the main drags. Got some awesome shots myself with my camera. Enjoy the ride!

Phuket Old Town Sino-Portuguese Charm

fmd_good Phuket Old Town

I'm heading to Phuket Old Town next month and I've heard SO much about the amazing street art. Seriously, the photos online are incredible. My question is: are there any guided walking tours focusing… more

Honestly, I just wandered around Phuket Old Town. Found tons of amazing street art that way! The smaller side streets are where the real gems are, you’ll miss those on a tour bus. Plus, you get to set your own pace and stop for all the yummy street food whenever you want. A guided tour might be good if you're short on time, but for really soaking it all in, exploring solo is the way to go, imo. Enjoy your trip!

Totally agree! I love that independent exploration vibe. Phuket Old Town is seriously photogenic; I spent ages just snapping pictures of the buildings. The street food was incredible too – I think I ate Pad See Ew three times that day. No regrets. A guided tour would've been rushed and I would have missed all those little details, like the quirky shops tucked away in those alleys. Thanks for the tip!
