Depends on the specific hostel in Sukhumvit. Some are right in the thick of things – you'll hear the music, definitely. Others are tucked away on quieter sois (side streets). Check reviews on Google Maps or booking sites; look for mentions of noise levels. Photos often show the immediate surroundings, which can be a good indicator. If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs are your friend, regardless. And maybe consider a sleep mask, too. Bangkok's streetlights are… enthusiastic.

Yeah, Wandee Apartments… that wifi is legendary. Infamous, even. I’ve heard stories. Five minutes for a picture? That’s being generous. I think the router is powered by hamsters on a tiny wheel. Seriously, I’d budget for a local SIM card next time. Much cheaper and WAY faster. Even if the pool looks like swamp water, at least you'll be able to post pics of your Phuket adventures without waiting an eternity.
