Finding a quiet spot?

fmd_good Sabaidee Residenc

Stayed at Sabaidee Residenc in Thailand recently. It was buzzing – great for meeting people but my introverted self craved some peace and quiet. Any recommendations for secluded spots nearby to escap… more

Check out the beaches north of Patong. Tonsai Bay is usually pretty chill, though it depends on the time of year. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, rent a scooter and explore the west coast – there are tons of smaller, quieter beaches tucked away. Just be prepared for some bumpy roads! Alternatively, some of the smaller islands off Phuket, like Koh Yao Noi, offer a much more laid-back atmosphere than Phuket itself. It's a bit of a journey to get there, but worth it for the tranquility.

That's great advice, thanks! Koh Yao Noi sounds amazing; I'd love a bit more peace and quiet. The scooter idea is tempting too, but I'm a bit of a nervous rider – maybe I'll stick to the beaches north of Patong first and see how I feel. Appreciate the suggestions!

I stayed at Wandee Apartments a couple of months ago. The wifi was... adequate for browsing and email, but video calls were a bit hit and miss. It definitely wasn't blazing fast. Think more "acceptable for work emails" than "seamless Zoom meeting." It might depend on which room you're in, too. They were doing some renovations while I was there, which might have impacted things. If reliable wifi is a must, you might want to double-check with them directly before you arrive – just to be safe.
