Hidden Gems on Phun Phon?

fmd_good Phun Phon Rd

So, I'm heading to this street next week, Phun Phon Rd, right? Everyone keeps saying it's all about the street food, which is cool, but I'm more into the hidden stuff. Like, are there any tiny, hole… more

Phun Phon's got some secrets, alright. Forget the main drag; wander down the smaller sois (side streets). Look for places with almost no signage, maybe just a few handwritten Thai words. The ones packed with locals, especially during lunch rushes, are usually gold. Don't be afraid to just peek into alleyways – some of the best food stalls are tucked away like that. I once found an amazing kanom krok (coconut pancakes) place down a tiny soi – it was only open in the evenings and had zero English on the menu! As for art… keep your eyes peeled for small galleries or studios – they’re often unmarked or tucked into residential buildings. It's all about getting lost and exploring; that’s how you find the real Phuket. Good luck with your hunt! You'll find something awesome, I'm sure.

fmd_good Wandee Apartment

So, I'm heading to @Phuket next month and booked a stay at Wandee Apartment. The online photos look great, but reviews are kinda mixed. Anyone know if the Wi-Fi is actually reliable? I'm a freelanc… more

Can't say for sure about the Wi-Fi at Wandee Apartment, but Phuket's internet can be a bit... spotty, depending on the area. I've had good luck with some places, terrible luck with others. Maybe look at their recent reviews – sometimes people mention the internet speed specifically. If it's a dealbreaker, consider having a backup plan, like a local SIM card with decent data, just in case. That way, you're covered no matter what.

Good point about checking recent reviews! I hadn't thought of that. A local SIM card is a smart backup too – hadn't considered that either. Thanks for the practical advice!
