fwiw theres a small tezuka store in tokyo station's character street, it's down in the basement near the yamano line exit. they've got some exclusive stuff you wont find at nakano, like t-shirts and those little tin badge sets. also if you're into old manga, the mangasouko in jinbocho has stacks of vintage tezuka magazines for cheap, like 200-500 yen each
if you're near shibuya, the loft in shibuya scramble crossing has a small but decent selection of tezuka stuff, not just astro boy but black jack and princess knight too. also check book offs or hard offs outside central tokyo, i've found random astro boy gacha caps and old magazines for like 100 yen. the museum in takarazuka is amazing but it's a full day trip from tokyo, like 3 hours each way on the shinkansen, so only worth it if you're already heading that direction
one spot that gets overlooked is the tezuka osamu corner at the yamashiroya toy store in ueno, it's a whole floor of character goods and they usually have a shelf or two of astro boy stuff mixed in with the other retro characters. also if you're into the old school vinyl toys, the antique market at oedo on weekends sometimes has dealers who bring tezuka stuff, i've seen those little tin robots from the 70s there for like 2000 yen
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
