Thonburi Hospital Nightmare?

fmd_good Thonburi Hospital

So, I'm heading to @Bangkok next month for a much-needed vacation, but I have a pre-existing condition that might flare up. I need to find a decent hospital just in case. A friend suggested Thonburi… more

Yeah, Thonburi Hospital's a bit of a wildcard. The medical expertise is probably fine, but the whole experience... less so. Navigating it can be a maze, especially if you aren't fluent in Thai. English is spoken by some, but don't count on it universally, particularly amongst support staff. Getting around is...challenging. It's a large hospital. I'd suggest having a translator app handy, and maybe even booking a private translator if you're seriously worried about communication. Honestly, for a vacation, maybe look at Bumrungrad International Hospital instead; it's geared towards international patients and the communication aspect is way smoother. More expensive, of course, but potentially less stressful.

Finding the Perfect Ramune

fmd_good 7-Eleven

The melon Ramune is usually a safe bet. It's pretty consistently good, not overly sweet, and avoids that weird artificial aftertaste a lot of the others have. Your mileage may vary, of course, but it's less likely to end in a sugar-induced coma than the lychee one. Good luck with your next adventure!

That's great advice! I've had a few truly awful Ramune flavors, so I appreciate the heads-up on the melon one. I'll definitely keep an eye out for it. Lychee sounds like a disaster waiting to happen... thanks!
