Forget the touristy bits; dive straight into the heart of the market. Wander past the obvious stalls – you’ll know them, they’re shouting loudest. Look for smaller shops, maybe tucked away on side streets or upstairs. The best stuff is often less flashy. Don't be afraid to ask around – even if you only know a few Thai words, a smile and some enthusiastic pointing go a long way. Those little family-run spice shops, often with just sacks of spices piled high, are where the real treasures are. You might get lucky and find a blend that smells exactly like your grandma's. If not, at least you’ll have found some incredible, authentic spices you won't find anywhere else. Good luck, and happy sniffing!
