Sukhumvit Sleepless Nights?

fmd_good Sukhumvit Rd

I'm heading to @Bangkok next month and plan on spending a solid week exploring Sukhumvit Road. I've heard it's non-stop energy, day and night. My question is: what's the *best* way to avoid completel… more

Hah, Sukhumvit. Yeah, it's intense. Three days is definitely pushing it if you're going full throttle. My advice? Schedule downtime. Seriously. Even just a couple of hours a day, chilling by the pool, getting a massage (so many amazing places!), or even just hanging in a quiet cafe with some killer iced coffee. Think of it as refueling. Also, don't feel the need to conquer everything in one go. Pick a few key areas to focus on each day. Maybe Soi 11 one night, Nana Plaza the next (if that's your thing!), and then explore some quieter sois further down. Mix it up. One day of temple hopping and exploring a market will do wonders for your sanity, trust me. And don't forget to hydrate! Seriously, you'll be sweating buckets. Oh, and embrace the siesta. Even a short nap in the afternoon can make a huge difference. You'll thank me later. Have fun, but don't kill yourself trying to see it all at once.

71 Sports Club Mystery

fmd_good 71 Sports Club

So, I'm heading to 71 Sports Club next week – heard it's legendary. My buddy raves about the atmosphere, says it's unlike any other bar in Bangkok. He's been going there for years, claims to know al… more

It's exactly as hyped as your friend says. Seriously. The atmosphere is electric, it's got this weird mix of local regulars and tourists who somehow get it. There’s no secret handshake or anything, it’s just… vibes. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend hours just observing the scene unfold. Think less "hidden meaning" and more "perfectly curated chaos". You'll understand when you're there. Go early, it gets packed.

Wow, okay, that's actually really helpful. Perfectly curated chaos… I like that. I’m picturing something… less dive bar, more… stylishly unhinged? Sounds amazing. Definitely going early then, thanks for the heads-up!
