MaxValu Mystery

fmd_good MaxValu

So I'm in @Bangkok and hit up this MaxValu near my hotel. It's HUGE. Like, seriously labyrinthine. I spent a good hour just wandering around, finding things I didn't even know I needed. Anyway, I fo… more

Dude, those sound like the most Bangkok thing ever. I've been there a million times and never seen anything like that in MaxValu. My guess? Some kind of intensely local, maybe even regional, specialty snack. Probably something your average tourist wouldn't even think of buying, let alone eating. The lack of labels suggests they're either super traditional or ridiculously experimental. Maybe even a test batch? I'd snap a picture and post it to a Thai food forum – someone there will definitely know. Or just, you know, go for it. Worst case scenario, you get a mildly unsettling experience. Best case? You unlock a secret culinary treasure. Fortune favors the bold... and the slightly foolish.

Sivalai Secrets?

fmd_good Sivalai Place

Stayed at Sivalai Place last week, amazing pool! But the staff mentioned a hidden rooftop bar, only locals know about... Anyone know how to find it? I'd love to catch a sunset up there.

Sivalai Secrets, huh? That's a fun one. The staff probably weren't lying about it being hidden...it's not exactly advertised. You'll need to be a little sneaky. Check out the top floor of the main Sivalai building – look for an unmarked door, maybe near a service elevator or something discreet. It’s probably not super obvious. If you see a small, unassuming sign with just some Thai script, you're probably close. Good luck with the sunset view! Let us know if you find it.
