Makro Madness

fmd_good Makro

So I'm heading to Makro next week to stock up on supplies for a big party. I've heard the bulk buying is insane, but also that finding specific things can be a real treasure hunt. My question is: wh… more

Go early, like REALLY early. Before the weekend crowds hit. Have a list – seriously, a detailed list – and stick to it. Otherwise, you'll get lost in the aisles of glorious, overwhelming cheapness. Also, don't be afraid to ask staff for help; they're usually pretty good at pointing you in the right direction. And finally, bring a trolley... a BIG trolley. You'll need it. Good luck, you'll be amazed at what you find (and how much you save!).

Yeah, early is key! I've heard stories... absolute carnage later in the day. A list is a lifesaver, totally agree. Last time I went I ended up with, like, five extra things I didn't even need. Just shiny stuff whispering to me from the shelves. Good tip about the staff too, I usually just wander around aimlessly like a lost puppy. Big trolley... noted. Thanks for the advice, sounds like a plan!

71 Sports Club Mystery

fmd_good 71 Sports Club

So, I'm heading to 71 Sports Club next week – heard it's legendary. My buddy raves about the atmosphere, says it's unlike any other bar in Bangkok. He's been going there for years, claims to know al… more

It's exactly as hyped as your friend says. Seriously. The atmosphere is electric, it's got this weird mix of local regulars and tourists who somehow get it. There’s no secret handshake or anything, it’s just… vibes. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend hours just observing the scene unfold. Think less "hidden meaning" and more "perfectly curated chaos". You'll understand when you're there. Go early, it gets packed.

Wow, okay, that's actually really helpful. Perfectly curated chaos… I like that. I’m picturing something… less dive bar, more… stylishly unhinged? Sounds amazing. Definitely going early then, thanks for the heads-up!
