Bansomdejchaopraya Uni Food?

fmd_good Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University

So, I'm heading to Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University next week for a conference. Heard the campus is pretty big. Anyone know the best places to grab a quick, cheap, and *actually good* lunch ne… more

The food stalls around the Wat Arun side of the river are usually pretty good and cheap. Lots of students hang out there, so you'll find stuff that's not aimed at tourists. Skip the ones with the most English menus – that's usually a sign they're jacking up the prices. Look for places with lots of locals, and don't be afraid to point and order! You can often get a delicious and filling meal for under 100 baht. Just be mindful of spice levels... I learned that lesson the hard way!

fmd_good Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

So, I'm heading to the Nigerian Embassy in Bangkok next week to sort out a visa. My friend, who's lived in @Bangkok for ages, warned me about the potential wait times – apparently, it can be a bit of… more

Yeah, the Nigerian Embassy in Bangkok... that's a whole thing. My experience wasn't too awful, but it definitely wasn't a quick in-and-out. I got there at 7 AM – seriously, that early – and there was already a line snaking around the block. Think Hunger Games level competition for a spot in the shade. I brought a book, which was a lifesaver. A picnic might be overkill unless you're planning a full-day camping trip. Seriously, pack water, snacks, and something to keep you occupied. The wait time is unpredictable; it depends on how many people show up that day and what kind of mood the staff are in. Prepare for anything. Good luck!
