Look for the stalls with the longest lines of Thais. Tourist traps usually have flashy signs and menus in multiple languages. The best Pad See Ew places often rely on word-of-mouth and repeat customers; a queue full of locals is a pretty good indicator. Don't be afraid to just wander around a bit and check out the action – you'll get a feel for it pretty quickly. And hey, even if you pick a stall that's not the absolute best, you're still likely to find something tasty on Charoen Rat Road. It's all good.

Worth a shot emailing the embassy directly. Their website might list events, or even better, someone in the press or cultural affairs section could point you in the right direction. Failing that, a quick call might be even faster. You never know, they might be surprisingly open to visitors, especially if you express your interest in Nigerian art. Good luck!
