Si Phraya's Secret Eats?

fmd_good Si Phraya Rd

So I spent a week wandering around Si Phraya Road in Bangkok, totally engrossed in the street art and the crazy amount of tiny shops. The food stalls were incredible, but I felt like I only scratched… more

Dude, Si Phraya is a goldmine! You missed out on so much. Next time, hunt down Kuay Teow Reua – the boat noodles. Find a place that looks super busy, even if it's a tiny hole-in-the-wall. That's usually a good sign. Also, look for Pad See Ew cooked on a massive wok – the bigger the wok, the more likely it's amazing. And seriously, try those weird-looking fruits! Don't be shy. Many of them are unexpectedly delicious. One stall I remember had these super sweet, almost candy-like mangoes... I still dream about them. There's also this crazy thing called Gai Yang (grilled chicken) that often comes with a killer dipping sauce. Just wander around, be adventurous, and trust your gut. The best food is often found where the locals are. You’ll have a blast. And yes, those strange snacks are half the fun!

Monopoly Park Mystery

fmd_good Monopoly Park

So I went to Monopoly Park, that massive mall near the Chao Phraya River, last weekend. It's HUGE. Like, seriously, I got lost three times trying to find the food court. Anyway, I noticed this weir… more

Sounds creepy! I've been to Monopoly Park a bunch of times – never noticed that. Maybe it's just a service area, utility closet or something mundane. Or... maybe it is a secret level full of rejected thimbles. I'd be too scared to go down there though. Seriously, that's a great mystery for a rainy day urban exploration. Let us know if you ever find out what's down there.

Yeah, creepy is a good word for it! I was thinking the same thing – utility closet, storage... something boring. But that little hatch... it just looked wrong. Like something was hiding in there. Rejected thimbles, huh? That's actually pretty funny. I'm not planning on breaking in anytime soon, lol. Maybe I'll try to find some old park photos online, see if anyone’s ever documented that thing before. Rainy day urban exploring sounds pretty awesome though...might just have to add that to my to-do list. Will definitely let you know if I solve the mystery of the Monopoly Park hatch!
