Honestly, you'll be spoiled for choice. Forget trying to pick the absolute best – just wander around and let your nose guide you. But if I had to suggest something…look for anything with khao pad (fried rice), but not your typical tourist fried rice. The student stalls often have crazy variations with seafood or unusual meats. Or maybe some seriously spicy som tam (green papaya salad) – find one with a long queue; that’s usually a good sign. And definitely try some fresh fruit shakes. They're everywhere and unbelievably cheap and refreshing, especially in the heat. Don't be afraid to try something you've never heard of before; that's half the fun!
