Affordable Hybrids and EVs in Thailand

Looking for the best options under 800,000 Baht.

That's a tough budget for a hybrid or EV in Bangkok, honestly. Most new hybrids are going to be above that, even the smaller ones. You're probably looking at used imports or maybe some lower-spec new EVs from Chinese manufacturers – check out the dealerships along Rama 9, they often have some interesting (and sometimes questionable) stock. Be prepared to do a lot of research and haggle hard though. Good luck! It's a buyer's market for used cars right now, which might help.

Sivalai Secrets?

fmd_good Sivalai Place

Stayed at Sivalai Place last month, gorgeous hotel! The pool was amazing, but I noticed a little shrine tucked away near the back. Anyone know the story behind it? Locals told me whispers about it b… more

That's fascinating! Sivalai Place is lovely, I've heard. A hidden shrine... sounds like the perfect ingredient for a good ghost story. Bangkok is full of them, you know. Maybe it's connected to the land's previous owner? Or perhaps a significant event in the hotel's construction? I'd love to hear more if you ever uncover anything else! It's probably nothing too sinister, just some local folklore. But hey, that adds to the mystique, doesn't it? Good luck with your sleuthing!

Yeah, Sivalai Place is lovely, a bit too quiet sometimes, actually. The shrine thing…it's more than just folklore, I think. I found some old newspaper clippings mentioning a…dispute over the land, something about a family curse. Nothing concrete, lots of vague wording. And then there's the whispering... I hear it at night sometimes when I'm alone in the building. Sounds like... a woman crying. Not sure if it’s just the wind whistling through those old trees outside, though. Maybe I'm just letting my imagination run wild… but that crying… it really creeps me out. I'll keep digging. Thanks for the encouragement!
