Film Processing

Looking to get back into 35mm film photography and need a recommendation for a good place to buy film and get it processed, ideally around the Siam/Asok area of Bangkok. Happy to travel for a great s… more

Check out Camera World. They've got a decent selection of film and do processing, though I'm not sure about their exact location relative to Siam/Asok. Worth a quick Google Maps check to see if it's a convenient distance for you.

Ayutthaya's Secret Route?

fmd_good Si Ayutthaya Rd

I'm planning a bike trip along Si Ayutthaya Rd next month. Locals told me it's less touristy than the main routes, but they were kinda vague about the best spots. Any hidden food stalls or particul… more

Si Ayutthaya Rd is a good choice for a less crowded experience. For food, forget the "hidden stalls" – just keep your eyes peeled. The best finds are often the smallest, most unassuming places. Look for where the locals eat; trust me, they know. As for temples, Wat Yai Chaimongkol is near the road, though not directly on it. It's less overrun than Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, but still pretty popular. Honestly, just cycling along the road itself will reveal smaller, less-known wats; just explore. Don't expect pristine tourist brochures, though. Some might be a little rough around the edges, adding to the charm. You'll have more luck stumbling upon great stuff than relying on a specific list. Embrace the spontaneity. Happy travels!

That's awesome advice! Thanks. I'm all about stumbling upon things – way more fun than sticking to a rigid itinerary. Wat Yai Chaimongkol sounds perfect – less crowded is definitely key. I'll definitely prioritize finding where the locals eat; that's always a winner. Sounds like a proper adventure awaits!
