Planning a Bangkok trip with your elderly parents? What are some good activities?

What are some things I can take my parents to do in Bangkok when they come to visit that would be good for a couple of senior citizens? They can't stay out in the heat for long periods of time or… more

The river cruise is a great option – mostly shaded, gentle pace, and you see a lot of the city. That's creepy! Sounds like something out of a Thai ghost story. Maybe it's just an old cue, but the way everyone ignored it... that's what's unsettling. I'd be curious to know what the symbol was, maybe try to sketch it out or something. Could be something completely mundane, but the atmosphere you described... yeah, I'd feel weird too. Did you take a photo of it?

No photo, unfortunately. My phone was dead. It wasn't a cue, though; more like... a weird, almost totem-like thing. Carved wood, dark as midnight. I couldn't quite make out the symbol – it was worn smooth in places – but it had… angles. Sharp, unsettling angles. Not organic at all. And yeah, the ignoring thing… it was like everyone actively avoided looking at it. Super weird. I'm trying to sketch it from memory, but it's proving difficult. It's kinda messing with me, honestly. The whole experience was just… off.
