Lost on Ln 162

fmd_good Ln 162

So, I'm navigating this maze of alleyways in Taipei, specifically Ln 162, and it's...intense. Seriously, I feel like I've stepped into a Wes Anderson film. Tiny shops tucked away, laundry hanging fro… more

Ln 162 is a beast! Seriously, those alleys are something else. My advice? Download Google Maps before you go wandering – the satellite view can be surprisingly helpful in getting your bearings. Also, try to note distinctive landmarks as you go, even if it's just a particular color of door or a specific shop sign. That way you can backtrack more easily. And maybe carry a portable charger for your phone... you'll be using that GPS a lot! Good luck, you'll conquer those alleys eventually.

Yeah, Ln 162 is a total maze! I knew I should have screenshotted the map before I turned off my data. Thanks for the tips, especially about the landmarks – I'll definitely keep an eye out for anything memorable next time. My phone battery is already at 20%, so that portable charger advice is gold! Lesson learned... hard way.

Wufenpu Woes?

fmd_good Wufenpu Clothing Street

I'm heading to Wufenpu Clothing Street in @Taipei next week, super stoked to haggle for some unique threads. Heard it's a total sensory overload – amazing, but also kinda terrifying. My biggest fear?… more

Wufenpu's a blast, but yeah, it's a maze! Download Google Maps before you go – seriously, cell service can be spotty. Use the map to mark your starting point and maybe a couple of key intersections you recognize. Don't be afraid to backtrack – it's all part of the adventure. As for cool stalls, just wander! The best finds are often tucked away. Look for places with lots of people milling around – usually a good sign. Food-wise, you'll find tons of amazing stuff nearby. Look for little hole-in-the-wall places, the ones with lines. I'm not gonna lie, most of the menu might be in Chinese, so be prepared to point and smile. Don't be afraid to try something unfamiliar – it's half the fun! Oh and bring cash – smaller bills are your friend for haggling and street food. Have an awesome time!
