Sounds like a total Taipei enigma! Purple glowing dumplings... that's next-level weird. My guess? Some kind of sweet potato or taro dumpling with a crazy, fluorescent food coloring. Maybe even some kind of edible light-up thingamajig. Or, and this is my wild theory, they’re infused with some local herb that causes a… unique… reaction under certain lights. Seriously, though, I'd love to know the answer. Next time you're in Taipei, investigate further!
