Taipei Dome Mysteries

fmd_good Taipei Municipal Stadium

So I went to the Taipei Municipal Stadium, or as the locals sometimes call it, the "Dome," for a baseball game last week. The atmosphere was electric, seriously buzzing. But the weirdest thing happe… more

Yeah, that's kinda creepy. The Taipei Dome has a serious reputation for weird stuff. I heard stories about random noises at night, people claiming to see things out of the corner of their eye... Probably just old building stuff, faulty wiring, and overactive imaginations, but... three flickers and a shadow? That's a bit much. Maybe it's the ghost of a disgruntled baseball player? I've never had anything that crazy happen, just the usual stadium shenanigans. But seriously, three flickers is a bit ominous. Let's hope it wasn't a sign of something more...sinister.

Gongguan's awesome! It's a maze, for sure. Forget trying to "avoid" tourist traps – just embrace the slightly higher prices at some of the more popular stalls. You'll still find amazing stuff there. Instead of searching for "hidden gems," focus on the stalls with the longest lines of locals. That's a pretty good indicator of quality and authenticity. Also, don't be afraid to wander off the main paths; some of the smaller side streets have real treasures. Look for places with lots of university students – they know where the good eats are. And trust your gut; if a stall looks busy and the food looks fresh, give it a shot! You won't regret it. You'll probably find yourself eating way more than you planned...
