Songshou Road Secrets?

fmd_good Songshou Rd

I was wandering down Songshou Road, near the Raohe Street Night Market, last week. The place is buzzing, especially at night! So many tiny alleyways branching off, each one seemingly leading to a di… more

Dude, Songshou Road is a rabbit hole! I lived near there for ages and still found new places. Forget the obvious stuff – wander deeper into those alleyways. Look for places with almost no signage, maybe just a single flickering lightbulb above a doorway. Those are usually the best. Trust your gut; if a place looks busy with locals, it's probably worth checking out. Seriously, some of the best food I had in @Taipei was in those tiny, hole-in-the-wall spots. Yeah, Jiuwushan can be a beast! I've done it a few times, and the trails are definitely...challenging in terms of signage. My tip? Download offline maps before you go. There are a few apps that work well even without cell service – they're lifesavers. Also, tell someone your planned route and estimated return time. Better safe than sorry, especially when you're venturing off the beaten path. That hidden temple though...sounds awesome! What was it like?
