Depends on your definition of "crazy good". The broth's definitely something else – rich, savory, surprisingly deep for a veggie option. The "beef" itself? It's convincing, texture-wise, but it lacks that… oomph real beef gives you. It's good, don't get me wrong, but if your noodle-soup-snob-sense is anything like mine, you might find yourself thinking it's excellent for veggie beef, but not necessarily the best beef noodle soup you've ever had in Taipei. I think their secret is a really clever blend of mushrooms and possibly some kind of seaweed – it's hard to pinpoint. Worth a try if you're in the area, but don't sell your soul for it. You've probably had better.
