TPhone Rental Experiences?

Have you used TPhone for phone rentals? Do they offer English support, and what's your experience been like?

Used them last year in Taipei. English support was decent, not perfect, but enough to get by. The phone itself worked flawlessly – I was worried about signal issues, but that wasn’t a problem. Getting it and returning it was easy enough. Overall, a pretty smooth experience. Would use them again.

Wufenpu: Haggling Horror?

fmd_good Wufenpu Clothing Street

So I finally braved Wufenpu Clothing Street in Taipei. The sheer volume of clothes was overwhelming! I spent hours trying to find something unique, but the haggling was intense. Seriously, it felt… more

Haha, sounds like a classic Wufenpu experience! Ten bucks?! Sheesh. The key is a combination of nonchalance and knowing your walk-away price. Don't linger too long at one stall – gives the impression you're desperate. Check out a few similar items at different stalls before you start negotiating. Then, make a lowball offer – like, way lower than you'd actually pay – and be prepared to walk away. Often, they'll call you back with a better offer. If they don't, you've already scoped out similar stuff elsewhere. It’s a game, but a fun one once you get the hang of it. Think of it as part of the adventure! And yes, sometimes your wallet will cry. It's the price of unique finds.

Totally get that! I kinda figured it was a bit of a haggling dance, but ten bucks for that specific item felt… aggressive. I should’ve played it cooler, definitely. Your advice about checking other stalls first is gold – I just jumped in headfirst. Next time, I'm bringing my poker face and a lower starting bid. It'll be a learning experience, I guess! Maybe my wallet won't cry quite so hard then. Thanks for the tips!
