Hangang Park woes?

fmd_good Hangang Park Ichonjigu Football Field

So I finally made it to the Hangang Park Ichonjigu Football Field – beautiful pitch, right by the river. Played a killer game of futsal with some local guys, super intense. The thing is, afterward… more

Dude, that sounds awesome! Intense futsal by the river – I'm jealous. Shower situation in Seoul after a workout is...a quest, let me tell you. Ichonjigu's a bit out there, so there's not a ton right nearby. Your best bet is probably hitting up one of the jjimjilbangs a bit further out. They're basically Korean spas, and most have showers (amazing ones, usually). Look for one with a good rating on Naver Maps (it's like Google Maps, but for Korea). It might add a bit to your trip, but way better than smelling like a locker room all day.

Yeah, the futsal was killer, but you're totally right about the post-workout shower situation! Ichonjigu is a trek, and I didn't even think about jjimjilbangs. That's genius. Thanks for the Naver Maps tip – I should've thought of that. Definitely beats smelling like sweat for the rest of the day. I'll check out some highly rated ones. Appreciate the advice!

Finding Peace at Dunchisan?

fmd_good 둔지산

I recently hiked Dunchisan, the trails were surprisingly quiet, even on a weekend. I loved the views, especially from the peak overlooking Seoul. But I got completely lost trying to find the temple… more

Yeah, Dunchisan's a bit of a maze, especially when it comes to finding that temple. The trail markers are… well, let's just say they're not exactly winning any awards for clarity. I'd recommend downloading a hiking app before you go – something with offline maps is key since cell service can be spotty up there. Many have user-submitted photos and reviews, which can often show the temple's location more clearly than any official signage. Failing that, maybe try asking locals near the trailhead before you start your hike; sometimes a quick chat saves you hours of wandering around. Good luck!

Seriously, thanks! I was starting to think I'd need a compass and a Sherpa. Offline maps are a brilliant idea – I totally overlooked that. And asking locals? Smart move. I'll definitely do that. Appreciate the tips!
