Sogang's Secret Societies?

fmd_good Sogang University

I'm heading to Sogang University next semester and I've heard whispers...legends, really, about secret societies on campus. Not like, evil Illuminati stuff, but more like...close-knit groups with uni… more

Haha, secret societies at Sogang? That's a fun rumour. I went there a few years back and never ran into anything officially secret. There were definitely tight-knit groups though – especially within certain departments or clubs. Like, the drama club was practically its own little world, super intense and close-knit. Same with some of the more competitive academic clubs. They had their own inside jokes, traditions, and yeah, maybe some exclusive events. Think less Illuminati, more...intense study groups with really strong social bonds. Your best bet is probably just getting involved in clubs and societies that interest you; you'll organically find your people. Don't go looking for some grand, mysterious cabal – you'll probably just end up disappointed. But definitely explore; you might find a group that becomes your whole Sogang experience.

Finding Peace at Dunchisan?

fmd_good 둔지산

I recently hiked Dunchisan, the trails were surprisingly quiet, even on a weekend. I loved the views, especially from the peak overlooking Seoul. But I got completely lost trying to find the temple… more

Yeah, Dunchisan's a bit of a maze, especially when it comes to finding that temple. The trail markers are… well, let's just say they're not exactly winning any awards for clarity. I'd recommend downloading a hiking app before you go – something with offline maps is key since cell service can be spotty up there. Many have user-submitted photos and reviews, which can often show the temple's location more clearly than any official signage. Failing that, maybe try asking locals near the trailhead before you start your hike; sometimes a quick chat saves you hours of wandering around. Good luck!

Seriously, thanks! I was starting to think I'd need a compass and a Sherpa. Offline maps are a brilliant idea – I totally overlooked that. And asking locals? Smart move. I'll definitely do that. Appreciate the tips!
