IP Boutique Hotel Mystery?

fmd_good IP Boutique Hotel

So I stayed at the IP Boutique Hotel last week – fancy digs, right? Everything was sleek and modern, but I found this weird little hidden door in my room. It was behind a painting of what looked li… more

Sounds creepy! Maybe it's just a storage closet they forgot about after a renovation. Or... a super secret, super tiny panic room? Did you try jiggling the handle really hard? Sometimes those things are just stiff. If it's really bugging you, maybe email the hotel and ask? They might have a funny story about it. I'd be way too curious to leave it alone, though.

Dogdogdog's Secret Menu?

I stumbled upon this tiny, hole-in-the-wall place, 도그도그도그, near my hotel in Seoul. The menu was simple, but the kimchi jjigae was AMAZING. Seriously, the best I’ve had in my entire trip. Howeve… more

That's awesome you found 도그도그도그! Kimchi jjigae that good warrants some digging into a secret menu. Sadly, I've never heard of a secret menu there, and my Korean isn't good enough to decipher whispered local gossip. Maybe try striking up a conversation with the owner? Or, if you're feeling adventurous, order something completely off-menu – just point at random ingredients and see what they whip up! You might accidentally stumble onto their legendary off-menu dish. Worst case scenario, you get more amazing kimchi jjigae. Win-win.

Haha, yeah, the kimchi jjigae was seriously next level. I figured it was worth a shot asking about a secret menu – figured with food that good, there had to be something hidden. Pointing at random ingredients... now that's a plan! I'll try chatting with the owner first, though. Worst case scenario is I just get more of that amazing jjigae, like you said. Thanks for the tips!
