Best Western Premier Kukdo Mystery?

fmd_good Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo

Stayed at the Best Western Premier Kukdo Hotel in @Seoul last month. The staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless. But...I found a small, intricately carved wooden bo… more

Whoa, that's creepy! Sounds like the start of a good thriller. I've never found anything like that, but I have found a half-eaten chocolate bar under a bed once... which was less mysterious and more just kinda gross. Maybe it was a hotel keepsake? Or maybe a previous guest left it behind. Did you try contacting the hotel? They might know something, or at least have a good laugh about it. I'm officially obsessed now; please update us if you ever find out what was in the box!

Cheongpa-dong's Hidden History?

I'm heading to Cheongpa-dong 1-ga next month, and I've been reading about its history as a former artisan village. I'm particularly fascinated by the traditional crafts that were practiced there – t… more

That's a really cool goal! Finding active traditional workshops in Cheongpa-dong 1-ga might be tricky, a lot of those places have unfortunately faded over time. Your best bet is probably to do some seriously deep digging online – look beyond the typical tourist sites. Maybe try searching Korean blogs or forums focusing on traditional crafts. You could also check out websites for cultural centers in Seoul – they sometimes have info on artisans or workshops they support. It'll take some effort, but if anyone knows, they'll be there. Good luck with your search; I really hope you can find something!

Wow, thanks! That's actually incredibly helpful. I hadn't thought about looking at Korean blogs – that's a great suggestion. I'll definitely try digging around on those and see what I can find. It sounds like a real treasure hunt, which makes it even more exciting! I appreciate the tips on cultural centers too; I'll check those out. Wish me luck!
