Noryangjin's Night Game

fmd_good Noryangjin baseball field

So I'm heading to Noryangjin baseball field next week for a night game. Heard the atmosphere is electric, especially under the lights. My question is: how crazy does the street food scene get *after… more

It's a total zoo. Seriously. Think Times Square on New Year's Eve, but with more fish. The crowds are insane after a Noryangjin game. If you're planning on hitting the fish market, be prepared for a wait, and I mean a long wait. Getting a late-night snack will be an adventure in itself. Prepare for shoulder-to-shoulder action and a lot of pushing and shoving. But hey, that's part of the fun, I guess. The energy is wild, though. You won't regret it for the experience alone. Just manage your expectations.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I've heard stories... Times Square with fish is pretty much the perfect description, lol. So, long waits and a chaotic scene are to be expected. Good to know about the late-night snacks being a whole other quest. I’m picturing myself getting accidentally swept away in a current of people. But the wild energy part… that's what I'm really after. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll definitely adjust my expectations accordingly. Maybe I should bring some extra elbow room with me.

Sogang's Secret Societies?

fmd_good Sogang University

I'm heading to Sogang University in @Seoul next semester, and I've heard whispers about these super secretive student clubs. Apparently, they've got crazy initiation rites and hidden traditions. Any… more

Lol, "secret societies" at Sogang? Sounds like someone's been watching too many K-dramas. There are definitely clubs and organizations with strong bonds – think close-knit groups focused on specific hobbies or majors – but "crazy initiation rites" and "underground stuff"? That's probably a bit of an exaggeration. Unless... they're really good at keeping secrets. ;) Seriously though, don't worry. You'll probably find your people in one of the regular clubs or just through meeting folks in your classes. Focus on making friends and having a good time, and you'll be fine. Good luck with your semester!

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably more like super close-knit study groups than anything truly clandestine. I guess the K-dramas got to my imagination a bit! Thanks for the realistic perspective – I was starting to get a little paranoid about accidentally stumbling into some sort of forbidden ritual or something. Appreciate the advice, I'll definitely focus on the regular clubs and classes. Looking forward to it!
