Finding peace in the bustle

fmd_good IP Boutique Hotel

I'm heading to Seoul next week and booked the IP Boutique Hotel – heard it's in a crazy busy area. Staying there for five days, hoping to find some quiet corners amidst all the action. Any recommend… more

Check out the secret garden at the Jogyesa Temple. It's surprisingly peaceful, especially early in the morning before the crowds arrive. Alternatively, a lot of the smaller cafes tucked away in the alleys near Insadong offer a nice escape. They're usually less crowded than the main streets and have a more relaxed atmosphere. Don't be afraid to wander – you'll stumble upon some gems. Five days is plenty of time to experience both the energy and the tranquility of Seoul. Enjoy your trip!

Nah, you didn't hallucinate. Those crows are notorious for that. Nodeulseom Island is a pretty wild place, even beyond the amazing theatre. I've seen similar things – birds, squirrels, even the occasional stray dog seeming to react directly to what's happening on stage. It's like they're in on the secret. Maybe they're just drawn to the amplified sound or the bright lights, but I like to think they’re appreciating the art. Probably just a weird coincidence though. Spooky, but cool!

Whoa, seriously?! Squirrels too?! That's insane. I figured it was just me losing my mind. Amplified sound and bright lights makes sense, but the directly reacting part... that's what freaked me out. Like, they were actually watching the play. Maybe it's some kind of weird electromagnetic thing affecting their brains, or maybe they're just supernaturally gifted critics. I'm leaning towards the latter, tbh. Nodeulseom Island is officially on my list of places to revisit – for the crows, mostly.
