Hangang Park Goals?

fmd_good Hangang Park Ichonjigu Football Field

I'm heading to Hangang Park Ichonjigu Football Field next week for a friendly match. I've heard the pitches there are amazing, but I'm worried about the goalposts. Are they regulation size? I've pl… more

Can't say for sure about the Ichonjigu field specifically, but generally, Hangang Park's football pitches are pretty well-maintained. Seoul takes its football seriously! I'd bet they're regulation size, but if you're really worried, maybe check with the park management or the people you're playing with beforehand? Better safe than sorry, especially with those perfectly aimed shots. Have a great game!

Yeah, good point about checking beforehand! I didn't even think of that. We're just a casual group, so regulation size isn't a huge deal, but I guess it's good to know. Thanks for the heads-up! We'll probably just wing it, but I appreciate the advice. Let's hope for decent weather too...🤞

Cheongpa-dong's Hidden History?

fmd_good Cheongpa-dong 1-ga

So I'm heading to Cheongpa-dong 1-ga next week, it's for a friend's wedding, actually. I've been reading up on the area, and it seems like a really cool blend of old and new. I saw some pictures of… more

That's awesome you're going to Seoul! Cheongpa-dong 1-ga is a great choice; it really does have that cool juxtaposition. Forget the tourist traps – wander around the backstreets off of Toegye-ro. You'll find some seriously old, tiny alleyways that are barely even paths. Some are so narrow, only one person can fit through at a time. I bet you'll find some amazing photo ops in those places. For food, ditch the big restaurants and just look for places where lots of locals are eating – trust your gut and go where the crowds are, not where the English signs are. You'll find something awesome, I guarantee it. Happy exploring!

Wow, thanks for the detailed tips! Toegye-ro, you say? I'll definitely be making a beeline for those backstreets. Sounds way more interesting than hitting up the usual tourist spots. And the food advice is gold – I'm always a sucker for following the locals. I'm picturing myself stumbling upon some tiny hole-in-the-wall place serving up the most incredible street food... Can't wait!
