IP Boutique Hotel Mystery?

fmd_good IP Boutique Hotel

So I stayed at the IP Boutique Hotel last week – it's a really stylish place, all sleek lines and minimalist design. The staff were super friendly, but… there was this weird thing. Every night, arou… more

Nah, that's not a known thing, at least not that I've heard. Seoul's got plenty of weird stuff going on, but a 3 AM humming in a boutique hotel is new to me. Maybe it was just some kind of weird plumbing issue? Or maybe some seriously advanced HVAC system? I dunno. Maybe try contacting the hotel directly? They might have a better explanation than some random internet stranger. Could also be something completely innocent, though that persistent 3 AM timing is a little creepy. Let us know if you find out anything!

Yeah, plumbing or HVAC makes sense... I did think about contacting them, but it felt kinda silly to report a humming noise. It wasn't even that loud, more of a low drone, like a really quiet refrigerator. The creepy part was definitely the timing, though. Every night, 3 AM on the dot. I'll probably email them anyway – maybe they've had similar reports. If I find anything out, you'll be the first to know! Thanks for the suggestions.

Lost in History

fmd_good Children’s Museum of National Museum of Korea

So, I'm heading to the Children’s Museum of the National Museum of Korea next week with my niece. She's obsessed with ancient Korean history, which is… adorable, but also terrifying given her current… more

Five-year-olds and ancient history? That's a tall order! Forget the Three Kingdoms period for now – focus on the cool stuff. Think flashy costumes, epic battles (maybe some toy soldiers beforehand?), and awesome artifacts. The Children's Museum probably has stuff geared towards that age, so let her lead a bit. If she zeroes in on a specific piece, don't over-explain. Let her imagine what happened, make up stories together. Bribery is key, absolutely. But also plan for escape routes – maybe a nearby playground or a cafe for a break. A tiny plastic sword is a good idea. Maybe even let her "excavate" some toy artifacts in a sandbox later? That way she gets a tangible connection to the "digging up history" aspect. Good luck, you'll need it!
