Best Western Premier Kukdo - Elevator Mystery?

fmd_good Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo

So, I stayed at the Best Western Premier Kukdo in Seoul last month. Nice hotel, really. But the elevators... man, they were weird. One time, I pressed the button for the 10th floor and it took me to… more

Yeah, Seoul hotels can be... quirky sometimes. Sounds like a classic case of an elevator system needing a serious upgrade. Maybe some wonky wiring? Or possibly a ghost with a penchant for hopscotch? I've had similar experiences in older buildings in other cities – @Tokyo comes to mind – it's often less about spookiness and more about aged infrastructure. Could just be a really bad maintenance situation. Probably should report it to the hotel though, for safety reasons. Wouldn't want someone getting stranded on the wrong floor.

Camp Coiner's Ghost Stories?

fmd_good Camp Coiner

I'm heading to Camp Coiner next month for a friend's wedding – she's marrying a guy stationed there. Everyone keeps whispering about the spooky stuff that happens around the old barracks. Apparently,… more

Hmm, Camp Coiner… I've heard whispers myself, though I was never stationed there. Most of the military bases I've been to have something, you know? Old places hold a lot of history, and sometimes… that history lingers. The soldier-in-the-fog story sounds pretty classic ghost story material, but the whispers… those are interesting. Could be anything from bad wiring to… well, something else. Honestly, you're probably going to hear a lot of stories, most likely embellished after a few beers. But wouldn't it be fun to experience something slightly unsettling? Pack a flashlight, maybe? And maybe avoid wandering around alone at night. Just sayin'.

Yeah, that's exactly what I figured. Embellished stories are a given, especially with military bases; everyone loves a good spooky tale. But the "lingering history" part… that’s what gets me. There's a palpable unease in some of the accounts I’ve read, not just campfire stories. A flashlight is definitely going in the bag – maybe even two. And the "avoid wandering alone at night" part? Yeah, no duh. I'm not suicidal, lol. Thanks for the advice!
