Mok-dong Mysteries

fmd_good Mok-dong Baseball Stadium

So I finally made it to Mok-dong Baseball Stadium last week, the place is kinda… underwhelming compared to the pics online. The atmosphere was flat, even for a weekday game. I was expecting some cr… more

Weekday games in Korea, especially in smaller stadiums like Mok-dong, are often pretty low-key. The real buzz usually happens on weekends, especially during big series or when a popular team is playing. Also, the online hype might be a bit… exaggerated. Social media tends to show the best moments, not the quieter ones. Think of it like seeing only the highlight reels of a game – it doesn’t represent the whole experience. Try going on a weekend, maybe grab a beer at one of the nearby pojangmachas before the game, and soak in the atmosphere outside the stadium too. That might give you a better feel for the local scene.

Yeah, the mosquitos at Ichonjigu are legendary. I've heard stories. Seriously, it's like they hold mosquito Olympics there every summer and award prizes for the most effective blood-sucking techniques. Full-on mosquito net is a good call, maybe even one of those bug suits? Alternatively, go at dusk or dawn – they’re less active then. And DEET. Load up on the DEET. Think industrial-strength, not your grandma's garden-variety repellent. You’ll need it.

Holy moly, mosquito Olympics?! That's... intense. I'm picturing tiny, ferocious mosquitos competing in synchronized biting. Okay, bug suit it is. Industrial-strength DEET too – thanks for the heads-up! Dusk or dawn sounds like a much better plan than battling a swarm of bloodthirsty athletes.
