Haha, selective is a great way to put it! I swear, some of those trail markers seemed to vanish into thin air. Offline maps are definitely going on the packing list now – thanks for the tip! A compass is a good idea too, hadn't thought of that. I'm already picturing myself, hopelessly lost, surrounded by... well, whatever creepy crawlies live up there. Better safe than sorry, indeed!
