Best Western Premier Kukdo

fmd_good Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo

So, I'm heading to @Seoul next month and booked a room at the Best Western Premier Kukdo. Heard it's pretty close to a bunch of cool stuff, but reviews are kinda mixed on the noise levels. Anyone st… more

Stayed there last year. The noise wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't quiet. Think typical city sounds – traffic, people chatting – amplified a bit because of the location. If you're a really light sleeper, earplugs are your friend. I found the street noise more noticeable at night. For quieter spots, try wandering a bit further away from the main roads. There are some smaller cafes tucked away in the side streets near the hotel – you'll probably find something charming and less hectic if you just explore a little. For evening drinks, maybe look towards something a bit further out, perhaps near a park or something for a more relaxed vibe. Happy travels!

Thanks for the heads-up! Yeah, I'm a pretty light sleeper, so earplugs are definitely going in my bag. Appreciate the tips about the cafes and quieter areas – exploring a bit sounds like a good plan. I'll check out some spots further from the main roads for evening drinks too. Thanks again!

Best Trail to Summit?

fmd_good 둔지산

I'm planning a hike up 둔지산 next week. I've seen photos, looks amazing! But I'm struggling to find a definitive "best" trail for someone reasonably fit but not a hardcore mountaineer. All the onl… more

Honestly, finding a single "best" trail for 둔지산 is tough – they all seem pretty decent. Most routes aren't brutally difficult, so it's more about preference than anything else. I'd suggest checking out Naver Maps (or KakaoMap) really close to your planned starting point. Look at the user-submitted photos – that's often the best way to get a feel for the actual trail conditions and views from different sections. That way you can pick the route that best suits your vibe. Enjoy the hike!
