Rhu Cross Conundrum?

fmd_good Rhu Cross Car Park

So I'm heading to Rhu Cross Car Park next week for a photoshoot, it's supposed to be amazing for sunset shots over the water. But I've heard whispers... rumors of... *unruly* seagulls. Seriously a… more

Yeah, those Rhu Cross gulls are legendary. Think Hitchcock, but with way less suspense and way more dropped fries. Bring a wide-brimmed hat – seriously, think Indiana Jones level – and maybe some of those little net bags they use for groceries in @Singapore. Keep your food securely zipped away until the very last second, and then eat quickly. If you're going for sunset shots, be prepared to make a hasty retreat as darkness falls; they seem to get even bolder at night. Good luck, you’ll need it!

The views from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge are pretty spectacular at night, no doubt. However, some of the best photo spots are on the bridge itself, and they involve being pretty high up. If heights really bother you, you'll probably be happier viewing it from afar. There are plenty of parks and areas along the waterfront where you can get decent shots without having to feel like you're about to take flight. Maybe check out the Esplanade – the views from there are also amazing, and it's definitely much more ground-level. You'll still get a killer shot of the bridge!
