The section near the National Orchid Garden is indeed pretty peaceful, especially early in the morning or late afternoon. You'll find fewer people then. There aren't really "secret" paths in the sense of unmarked trails, but if you explore the edges of the main paths, particularly near the rainforest section, you'll stumble upon quieter areas with less foot traffic. Just be mindful of staying on marked trails where possible – some areas might be off-limits. Also, check the Gardens' website for any temporary closures before you go. It's beautiful there, enjoy!

Ugh, Value Hotel in Singapore? I stayed there last year. The wifi was... inconsistent, to put it mildly. Some days it was fine, other days I'd be wrestling with it for hours. It's definitely not a place to rely on for crucial work. If you need reliable internet, seriously, spring for something else. Your sanity (and deadline) will thank you.
