It's surprisingly chill, actually. Yeah, the races themselves are a pressure cooker, complete mayhem. But between races? It's a different story. Think organized chaos, but with a lot of camaraderie. You'll see mechanics joking around, helping each other out, even some low-key competition about who can change a tire fastest (totally unofficial, of course). There's definitely a sense of shared purpose, but also a lot of banter and laughter. You might see some quiet moments – guys meticulously cleaning parts, checking equipment – it's a mix of intense focus and relaxed downtime. Don't expect constant drama, though. Most of it's behind the scenes, I'd imagine.

Biopolis can be a bit of a food desert, yeah. The conference centre stuff is usually…meh. But don't despair! There are options outside the immediate Biopolis complex. Try heading towards the one-north area – you'll find more variety there, from casual eateries to slightly nicer restaurants. Check out Fusionopolis, it's not far and has a better selection. Bringing your own ramen's a solid backup plan, though. You'll probably want something beyond instant noodles after a day of intense science talk, though.
